Understanding Account Responsibility

Your account security is a shared responsibility on JartexNetwork. Our Developer Team works continuously to maintain and secure the infrastructure of the network but you are responsible for your login credentials, passwords and personal devices.

Why It Matters: Anyone with access to your account can spend your currency, use your cosmetics, or break rules on your behalf. Keep your account details secure to protect your progress, purchases, and account.

Follow the steps below to secure your Account.

Link Your Email Address

Linking your account with E-mail address helps keep your account secure and makes it easy to recover if you ever forget your password.

• How to link your Email: In the game, type /email <your-email> and follow the instructions sent to your inbox.
• How it helps: If you do forget your password you can start a self-serve password recovery with the /resetpassword command without waiting for support with a link emailed to you.

Enable Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)

Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) adds an extra layer of security by requiring a verification code whenever someone tries to log in from an unrecognized device or location.

How to Enable 2FA

Type /2fa enable in-game. Scan the QR code with an authenticator app on your phone (such as Google Authenticator, Authy, or Microsoft Authenticator), then follow the remaining instructions to complete the setup.

How it helps

If your password is ever compromised, 2FA helps keep your account secure by requiring a verification code that only you can access.

PREMIUM USERS: You can use /premium to log in with your Microsoft account instead of a server password. This already makes your account much more secure, but we still recommend enabling 2FA for extra protection.

What to Do If Your Account Is Compromised

• Contact a Jr.Mod or higher as soon as possible. Explain the situation and ask them to ban your account for Compromised.
• Contact them using the account linked to your in-game account. Otherwise, staff may refuse to ban the account.
• Submit a password reset request and fill out the form.
  • It can take some time for staff to review your request.

SECURITY TIPS

• Use a strong password with a mix of uppercase and lowercase letters, numbers, and special characters
• Do not use the same password for multiple accounts. If one account gets compromised, your other account could be at risk too
• We strongly discourage sharing your account/password with anyone.
• Do not click on links or download files sent by people you don't trust or without checking where they lead.
• Use a different password on other servers and websites that you use and log into.
  • Some servers and websites are designed to steal other players passwords. That is why you should always use a different password for your accounts to access those sites and servers.
