Tips to reduce the gameplay lag

So i play kitpvp on a regular basis and i believe i am a fairly good pvper as i have a 6 kdr with no donator kits. One of the things that makes me loose and sometimes win is lag.

There are various ways to prevent this:
Change the map structure:
glass causes a lot of lag especially when there is a lot of it.
Make the world more flat.
A smaller map my be needed

Server Console changes:
Increase RAM
Increase clear lag cycle speed

These are just some simple things but i'm sure the owners can think of better ideas!
