Allowed and Disallowed Modifications

Introduction

Minecraft offers plenty of client-side modification that can improve performance, visuals, or make gameplay more convenient. Most of them are completely fine to use, but anything that gives you an unfair advantage or automates gameplay is not allowed. You can check the list of modifications that we allow and disallow HERE.

This article explains which types of modifications are allowed and which are prohibited. If you're unsure about a modification, it's safest not to use it until you have confirmed it's allowed.

Allowed Modification

Modifications that do not provide an unfair advantage or interfere with normal gameplay are completely fine to use. Below are examples of allowed modifications

• Visual Modifications: Mods that only improve or customize your game's appearance are allowed. This doesn't include modifications that let you see through blocks or otherwise reveal hidden areas.
• Chat Macros: Macros used to send chat messages or commands are allowed, provided they don't perform gameplay actions. All other types of macros are not permitted.
• Performance-Based Modification: These modifications enhance or otherwise improve your game smoothness and FPS without interfering with normal gameplay.
• Recording modifications: Modifications that record and clip your gameplay are completely fine to use.

Disallowed Modification

Modifications that interfere with normal gameplay or otherwise provide you an unfair advantage are prohibited to use. Below are examples of disallowed modifications

• Gameplay Macros & Automations: Any modification that performs gameplay actions for you is not allowed. This includes auto-clickers, automated movements, or any other macro that goes beyond sending chat messages.
• Hacked & Ghost Clients: Clients or modifications that include features such as extended reach, modified knockback, combat assistance or any other unfair advantage are not allowed.
• X-Ray Mods & Texture Packs: Any modification or resource pack that lets you see through blocks or reveals hidden areas is prohibited.
• Minimaps with Entities: Minimaps are allowed to use in general as long as they don't show anything other than blocks, such as nearby players and mobs.
• Fly Boosting: Increasing the speed of your flight is not allowed.

Automations

Allowed Automations

Only automations that don't provide an unfair advantage, bypass server features, or negatively affect other players are allowed.

• Chat Macros that send messages or run commands.
• Stats Overlay that shows the health of armor.
• Script to automatically claim kits or gkits and transfer them to your main account.

Disallowed Automations

• Automation that causes lag or performance issues to the server or players.
• Automation that lets you track whether a player or a staff member is online.
• Automation that bypasses server features (e.g, denickers allowing you to see the real name of nicked player)
